USU Program Council

What is it? An alternative night for our students. Instead of bar hopping, we want 49ers to come to this free event that includes interactive games, free food, music, student organization information tables, and appearances by radio stations, giveaways and fun interactives for CSULB students. On top of all that, Smorgasport gives you an entire night of free bowling, billiards and video games in the University Student Union Games Center, too.

Who's invited? All CSULB students are invited to this event co-sponsored by the following CSULB departments: Athletics, Associated Students, Inc. (Beach Pride Center, Recreation/Club Sports, University Student Union (USU) and USU Program Council).

When is it? Friday, September 06, 2013 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Why are we holding this event? ASI wants to help give our students an alternative to drinking. "This allows students to stay on campus in a safe environment. Smorgasport just proves that you can go out to have fun but you don't need to drink to do that," said USU Assistant Director of Programs and Marketing Sylvana Cicero.

Where is it? Here at Cal State Long Beach: USU Games Center and USU North Lawn.

How much? It's all free except for food trucks! Ideally we want all CSULB students to come out and take advantage of this free night. It's a smorgasbord of games to play, food to eat and music to groove to. Not a bad way to spend a Friday night if you ask us. See ya there!
